Monica Green and Karen TinklerPartners PR Directors Karen Tinkler and Monica Green have been appointed as coaches to the Good Growth Programme, providing strategic PR and communications support to help drive business growth in the region.

The Good Growth Programme provides ambitious businesses across West Yorkshire with expert support worth £5000 to help plan and implement short and long-term growth, for just £500.

The easy to access Government funded programme is aimed at established businesses between £0.5m and £10m turnover in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. To qualify for funding, businesses must have both the ambition and the opportunity to create jobs.

The programme is run by Oxford Innovation and the process starts with a simple online registration and the appointment of a Client Manager who will provide 1:1 support throughout the four-month programme. The business owners then complete an online diagnostic tool examining the company’s potential for growth and identifying areas for bespoke support from a coach with the right expertise.

As coaches, Monica and Karen will provide strategic PR and communications support to programme participants whose diagnostic reveals the business needs greater visibility and brand awareness to achieve its growth potential.

Karen explains: “Our Partners Pathfinder is a bespoke workshop-led service that guides business owners through the process of building a PR and communications strategy and plan. It’s designed to help businesses increase brand awareness and secure vital visibility among the right people to support growth.

“It works particularly well for businesses that are entering a new market, launching a new product or service, seeking investment, or struggling to attract the talent essential for realising growth ambitions.”

Monica adds: “The Good Growth Programme is a no-brainer.  Who wouldn’t want a 10-fold return on their investment?  We’re excited at the prospect of working with high-growth potential businesses and sharing our PR expertise to help them achieve their growth ambitions.”

In addition to the expert 1:1 bespoke business coaching, the Good Growth Programme provides access to five high-quality masterclass sessions covering essential topics for any business: marketing, people & skills, finance, net zero and digitalisation. These sessions connect growing businesses with a network of likeminded business owners whilst also providing expert insight on key business topics.

The programme is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The Good Growth Programme is being delivered by Oxford Innovation Advice, led by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority as part of the Mayor’s ambition to make West Yorkshire the best place to work, learn and live.
