This month, we've joined leading business advisers from across the region in becoming a Made in Yorkshire patron. Made in Yorkshire (MIY) supports and champions manufacturing in the region and is the largest single industry network in Yorkshire.
Established in 2016, the group has a membership of over 150 thriving manufacturers and engineering businesses located throughout the region, including Portakabin, Troy Foods, Pegler, Outokumpu and Jungheinrich.
The MIY team works with some of the largest manufacturing businesses, tier-one suppliers and much of Yorkshire’s SME manufacturing base. They also sit on the All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group, which aims to give politicians a rounded view from industry.
Partners director Karen Tinkler (pictured) says, “We work with a lot of manufacturing and engineering businesses across the region and beyond, and we’re excited to become part of Made in Yorkshire.
"We’ve been very impressed by the group’s approach to celebrating, supporting and bolstering manufacturing in Yorkshire, as well as its campaigns around inclusivity and mental wellbeing. We’re looking forward to playing our part in the continued success of the network.”
Made in Yorkshire regional director Alex Robinson (pictured above) added, “We’re very excited to welcome The Partners Group to the network as one of our nine patrons. Their team has been working with manufacturers and engineering businesses for three decades and having opportunities to tap into that PR and communications expertise will be of huge value to our members, and to us.”
The Partners Group joins the eight existing MIY patrons, which include Clarion Solicitors, BHP Chartered Accountants and Lloyds Bank.
