This year we are supporting the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign with a donation that will help make sure disadvantaged children and young people in York have a present to open on Christmas Day.

The donation continues a tradition held throughout our 33-year history of supporting a local charity instead of buying Christmas gifts for clients. 

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity with a mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect, or have additional needs. The charity works with grass-roots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.

Partners Group director Karen Tinkler says, “Cash for Kids helps some of the most vulnerable people in society. Many families continue to face adversity due to the events of the last year or so, and the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal is a lifeline for many who would suffer at this time of year. We’re very happy to support their work and to help ensure that children in particular receive a Christmas present this year.”

In 2020, Mission Christmas collected over £12.7m in gifts and cash donations, which was used to make sure that 254,352 children and young people had presents to open on Christmas Day. A total of 16,811 children and young people received gifts. This year, the charity is expecting record levels of requests for help.
