The Brief

Founded in 2003, PBH Rail Group works exclusively on rail projects for clients across the UK and internationally. Focusing on its five core divisions, Permanent Way, Track Engineering, OLE, Survey, and Civils, PBH Rail is committed to driving the rail industry into the future through innovation.  

We won the pitch to support PBH Rail with a PR strategy to boost industry and regional exposure thanks to our long-standing sector experience in manufacturing, engineering, and construction. 

The Campaign

To generate consistent and effective media exposure for the company, we focused our approach on strategic PR and media relations, and social media to put PBH Rail on the map. 

We worked closely with the managing director and key employees in each division to familiarise ourselves with the overall business and its future plans. This helped us to identify media opportunities that aligned with the company's growth ambitions and contributed to the broader news agenda.

With sustainability and the impact the skills gap is having on the wider rail industry being at the forefront of the mainstream media agenda, our campaign allowed PBH Rail to contribute to the conversation and offer valuable insight to help drive change in the industry.

The Results

Our social media strategy has grown the company’s overall LinkedIn followers by 30% over eight months, impressions by 1529%, and reactions by 2633%.

So far, our media relations campaign has delivered consistent monthly exposure in relevant outlets to raise PBH Rail's profile among key audiences. We focused on crafting targeted content that showcased the company’s growth and key projects, as well as providing in-depth thought leadership pieces to help drive conversation around key rail industry challenges. 

On average, with our PR strategy for PBH Rail we have secured seven pieces of media coverage per month, reaching an audience of over 149 million. 

Overall, our campaign has resulted in greater brand awareness for PBH Rail and has helped put the company on the map in both the rail industry and regionally.
