We're pleased and proud to be on the shortlist at the second annual FSB Celebrating Small Business awards. The awards celebrate businesses of all shapes and sizes, recognising the best of the region’s businesses across 12 categories.
The Community Award will be given to the business that most impresses the judges through initiatives to support the local community or by making a positive impact through employee-led activities.
Partners director Karen Tinkler says: “We’ve consistently supported a variety of fantastic local charities throughout our 30-year history in York.
“Last year, to mark our 30th anniversary, we donated 30 hours to run a PR campaign for
York Mind that saw more than 100 people walk the city walls and smash the charity’s £1000 fundraising target as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.
"We’re also proud to be members of employee-volunteering charity
York Cares, which is a great way to for us to support community projects, as well as roll up our sleeves for Big Community Challenges in and around the city.
“Everyone here has the opportunity to give time from their working week to support causes close to their hearts, and we’re incredibly proud to say that - among other things - our team has helped reduce local food waste, launch new businesses and community projects, mentor young entrepreneurs and support the literacy drive in primary schools.
"It would be a lovely boost for the team for all the brilliant things they do to be recognised.”
The winners of the Yorkshire and Humber FSB Celebrating Small Business awards will be revealed on Friday 1 March at The Principal Hotel in York.
